AWD and a TT V6, I would love to see Ford bring that back out. Then take that same TT V6 and use for the base model Mustang to out compete the V6 Camaro.

I don't think the price is that bad for what you get.

At least they are trying to finally bring cars that we want from a perfromance standpoint.

There are a lot of things we could debait about this car but atleast it is a step in the right direction.

I believe I read no service on Ecoboost Turbos until 150K . . .

Cool car but $38K is pretty steep.

It's $900 cheaper than a 300C AWD.

I think that is one fine little sleeper, I'll bet with the AWD it's a blast on the track too!

It also puts it in the same price range as a lot of entry level luxury cars. You will get interest from performance enthusiasts but I don't see it being a huge sales success. I just think its a lot of money for a Taurus. I wonder how much more the MKS will be with AWD and the TT V6.

I guess it depends on how many FMC is looking to sell. I would imagine ~10,000 units per year. And I think that is a reasonable goal, as well as the approximate number of units previous generations SHOs sold at, if memory serves.

And base MKS' with FWD and limited number of options run around $38K and ~$43-44K for AWD (non-eco) with 90% options, so I'd imagine ~$47-48K for a Eco-AWD MKS.

I hope the engines top and bottom end can hang with the potential twin turbos can bring to the table!

Primarily the SHO is for the enthusiasts. There will likely be 3 trim lines below the SHO for the everyday Joe that just wants a good sized 4 door family sedan.

I wish they would throw in the TT inline 6 that they put in some models in australia.

Yeah I think 38K is a little steep too. Especially with the economy right now. How much was the SHO back in the day?

There is an article in the latest Car & Driver or Road & Track (can't remember) about the new SHO. Its sharp and has plenty of power but its a porker. It was listed at 4300 lbs.

I was at the chicago final assy plant back in May and viewed a few of the preproduction prototypes during a few weeks of shutdown. I was repairing some equipment and doing training for subcontractors. Since the Bitch Ass UAW reps weren't around a process engineer let me ride in one as he pulled it out of the plant. It did pretty well especially considering it was on a smooth concrete floor.

The car is very impressive in person and anyone who is in the market for that type of vehicle would have a hard time passing it up. More importantly this powertrain is not a platform specific model like the old SHO engines were. Their is a high likelihood that this technology can find its way to other FoMoCo products.:) Could anyone imagine an STI asswhipping focus??? How about a 13 second fusion?

Thats one bad ass ride. I saw one at the Daytona 500 Ford booth. It was locked up, so I didnt get to see the in side to well. Can you use cash for clunkers on the SHO too?

As long as your trade qualifies they should, that is assuming they get the extra money alloted correctly .
