Ok, so for those of you that i didn't hit up in a PM...

Anyone that has a company, or that can get there company to donate, please let me know.

As most of you have heard Tracy-Untamed 's son has to go threw some really intense chemo over the next several months. Tracy and i are working on getting a benefit together for the 3 weekend in Feb.

I am trying to help in the playing and would like to an auction of items, or something to help raise money for her son.

He doesn't have insurance and isnt able to get it. So the expense is at the family, and He is un able to work for several months.

I was wondering if any of you GREAT people would like to donate anything for the auction, it can be cash( so that we can buy gift baskets), gift baskets, gift certs, anything would be great! If you can't donate anything that if fine, i know the economy isn't that great, but i will put further details as soon as i know the exact date, everyone will be invite to the event, so if you can't donate maybe you can swing by and see everyone!

Thanks for your time. If you have any questions, please let me know

keep us up to date as this gets closers... sadly as i age.. in this busy time it seems if its not tomm i forget... I'll see what i can do for helping. I might have some stock parts not thats it much if you all do have a raffle... Or if nothing else be able to help with some labor or such at the shop with tires. :bigthumb

Btw I doubt my company will donate anything unless its a formal event.. if so then maybe a free oil change or something they are tight asses... but i will do what i can like I always try for people in the club

This is a pretty big deal, and I am surprised with all the views this thread has had only 1 person has responded.

Angie, if you need any help with this, I will help out in any way that I can.

I was unaware of this. How old is the son and does he need anything? Or is there anything the family needs besides the cash?

ihave1sweetride
02-03-2009, 11:40 AM
Son is soon to be 23.

We aren't looking for cash. we are looking for items that we can raffle or auction off at the benefit.

Anything will help.

i'll talk to the wife, I am sure she will have something to donate if not ... cash! We don't have a date yet?

ponymom05
02-03-2009, 03:42 PM
"talked" with Angie this afternoon. She said she will be meeting w/Tracy later this week. She will have info after that as to a date.

I believe if anyone wants to donate cash, that should be fine. We could take the cash and buy gift certificates to raffle. I personally volunteer to go shopping if needed!! Just my .02

We have a hall in Williamsburg. It is called Jazzatti's. The date is March 6th. The time is 7pm till 11ish maybe 12. EVERYONE is invited. We will post a flyer for everyone once they are made. If anyone can help out, that would be great. I am setting up an account in my sons name for anyone that wants to donate money for his medical expenses. His medical bills are really climbing. The account will be at any key bank Care of Douglas Strotman cancer fund. We really appreciate everything and we will post directions as soon as we get the flyer together.

Well I cannot possibly know the feeling other than some people i know. We all wish you all the best. I will donate this friday when i goto the bank, just have to tell myself not to forget again

But you could always come in with a shaved head yourself, to help him "feel normal" My former boss did this when his daughter went through it, still wore the bald head to the last day i seen him. But it meant the world for her.

Thanks for keeping us updated, Tracy. Take him to the barber and get his head buzzed pretty short. It makes the hair loss a little less traumatic. My heart goes out to both of you.

I am not sure who is taking care of getting gift certificates or if you are even going to be doing that, but, tomorrow at 8 am, they are doing a $50 Identity Salon and Spa GC for $25! Supplies are limited.

Also, please post a flyer for the benefit ASAP. I will post it up on CMLM and my blog!

Hi
While driving out to Peebles, Oh. Came across an Amish man selling baskets along the road. Horse and buggy of course. Thought of this so I bought one!
On the way back going past Keim's Amish market, I got some Jam to go in it. The wife added a couple dish cloths. :coo1:
