Hi All
Doe's anyone have a detailed instruction pack on how to install a convertible top on an 89 lx. I can find a lot of instructions but they don't have a lot of detail. I have all the stuff I need. What would a person charge to put it on.
Thanks
Mike

Most people charge 300 to 500 to install a top and back window. You have to be careful who does it as some don't put all the screws and such back in. I had to have mine redone because of my 'bargain' install.

I had a guy do my top on my 86 a couple years back.He did an awesome job.I want to say he charged me 320 to install my top and back window. It was Daweese Upholstery out in Eastgate some where,I cant remember where though.

I called the guy and he wants 450 which I really don't consider to bad. He said it's about 8 hours work.I could never understand why they would make it so hard knowing it would have to be replaced at some point.
Thanks for the response.
Mike

Late Model Restoration sells a step by step DVD for $20.

Everyone I talk to says it's not much of a DIYer job. My top is good but need to replace the rear window and curtain. Trying to figure out if I want to do it myself or not.
