The only thing I dont like about dr is they dont seem to hook unless you have some serious power.

So the more power you have the better they hook? lol

O i wasnt saying you didnt make good power, I was refering to my bro ha has h/c/i and dr's and for some reason he just blitz them off. I was told that you need alot of power to cause more friction to hook.

My car hooks just fine with 260 RWHP on drag radials. They should hook even better when I get some softer springs for the front.

:lol:LMAO!! That's awesome. Almost sig worthy but i guess i'll let it slide. Maybe it's not that they hook better with big power, but the people that can afford to make big power, can also afford top of the line suspension and have the means of adjusting it properly.

I was told that you need alot of power to cause more friction to hook. you have to know what your doing when it comes to drag radials. depends what kind he has and you have to run certain pressure in tires and leave at certain rpm

My BFG's never hooked very well but my suspension is all stock except for the springs so that could be part of it. I also don't lauch at 5k like most people.

The car has all stock suspension, on bfg's and that thing dont like to hook even rolling onto it. its a 95. o and tire pressure was at 19 to 20 pounds leaving at 3800. You can come watch if you want this spring.

I've cut mid 1.6's with 530 RWHP on 17" M/T ET Drag Radials at Tristate during T&T, launching around 3600 RPMs, and quickly slipping the stock clutch. Stock suspension. With good track prep, I could get way more aggressive on the launch- higher revs, dumping the clutch faster and going full thottle in first sooner. I think it'd go low 1.5's easy. So that time he posted sounds right on for an 18" DR car with more power and better track prep.

The Cobra has an IRS and weighs close to 4000 lbs with a driver. Kinda apples and oranges.
