brake question

for sn95 front brakes.

ive heard i will need either sn95 ball joints or a stack of washers measuring .330 and 5/8 inside diameter? this correct? also will i need a new brake line. from hard line to caliber? or will the fox one work?

also. what are the specs on the stock 95 GT calibers? 66mm?

thats what ive heard and the only ones ive found is from MM and there like 80 bucks. is there any place else i can get the brake hose?

Stainless steel lines aren't cheap, you could probably find some rubber ones cheaper. I saved this website.

i dont need SS lines. just rubber ones would do if they make them for the fox to sn95 fronts brakes. couldnt i just use the stock sn95 front brake hose?

so u need that fitting....brake hoses for sn95 ( get them at auto zone or advanced)...ball joints for sn95...people say u need tie rods but u dont..i did the same swap your doin and i have the same wheels u have and it works...but thats all u need...

ok so brake hoses for a sn95. then the fitting is just needed for the passenger side. can i get away with the .330 of washers for now? im going to get tublar controling arms for it and dont want to have to press new ball joints in just to press them right back out in spring.

have any pics? i havent seen many foxes with the wheels we have!

ya i have pics...i made a thread with pics of it...but i took pics of it before i put that brake setup on there so my center caps werent on.....hang on a ill show u the thread...but all u need to do with the ball joints is have a big hammer to hammer then in and out with...thats what my buddy did anythings...i dunno about the spacer thing...never tried it...if your not wanting to deal with taking them in and out i would just wait to put them in until u get the control arms then....but it only took my buddy about 10 minutes to take the old ones out and put the new ones in...the new ones arent as tight of a fit as the fox ones so there easier to put in then to take out...pm me about fitting..

yeah maybe. ford racing B springs would work for you though

Do the spacer, its needed for it to be right. You can find them online too. Fox ball joints don't fit the spindles correctly, that's why you need to space it. If you putting them on with a hammer, your doing it wrong. :bangwall:

Edit, I misread what you wrote Jad0087, I thought you were saying to hammer the ball joint up into the spindle (instead of using the spacer). My bad. Yeah a big hammer with the nut backed up to the top of the threads is how I've always taken them out. One quick hit usually does it.

yeah i havent really drove it but in and out of garage since half of my mods where done. :( full exhasut, gears, 5 lug swap and lowering. you have no idea how edgey i am to drive it. :mad:

Ryan, firstly autocross is uber fun. Will make you a better driver on the road, too. I will tell you that you should be placed in ESP with your mods (maybe even SM). You will not be competitive, but it will be fun, fun, fun. I may have to head down to an OVR event this year to run with you guys. You really don't need sn95 brakes for autocross, though. Just some good pads. They will just slow you down, actually.

yeah i will be in ESP so im screwed for the competive part lol. i just want to have fun. my buddy got my hooked to it lol. yeah that would be cool. def look into it man! maybe on one of the 2 day events head down for it. i want to get some SFC's and strut tower brace first.
