I had a Cervini fiberglass hood for my 1989 GT and I want one for my 1991 GT...how are the Champion hoods on quality, fitment, etc.? Or should I just go ahead and pay the extra for the Cervini? Thanks for any help.

I think www.HOFibertrends.com hoods are the best quality hoods hands down. Dave is a member here and has allways taken care of Stangbangerz give him a call they are worth the price.

The www.HOFibertrends.com hoods look very nice. I like the idea of going and picking it up too. Thanks.

I picked up a new HOFibertrends hood for Kenny at the last NMRA Columbus race. My car has had one of Daves hoods on it for probably close to 15 years. It is the only hood I would buy.

Thats what i figured. I have had a HO Fibertrends hood in the past and loved it but was kinda wondering about VFN or Harwoods quality and fit. Anyone run any of these?
HO Fan here also. Have a new one going on the Real Street car.

Stick with HO. VFN makes a great product, but the shipping is whack! Harwood is ok, usually needs a little trimming to fit exactly right. Still nothing as bad as Champion/Cincinnati composite.

I had a harwood pin on on my 88gt it was a good hood. We just scuffed it and painted it. I think Harwood makes a good product. I would never use a pin on hood again. My HOfibertrends hood has been through hell and is still in great shape. I like the bolt on hood so much more than the pin on.

I have had 2 Champion hoods. You do get what you pay for, but they arent horrible pieces of shit by no means. Here is one. We put some hours into the bodywork and fitment , but it still wasnt any worse than a couple of the Cervinis hoods I have had.

I had hofibertrends on my 85 capri and the fit and finish was dead on. I tried to save somemoney on my 96 stang by going champion fiberglass and wished i would have spent the extra money once it was on the car. The finish was okay best and the fit was nowhere even close. Ho fibertrends will be the only hood i buy from now on.
I used a champion on the coupe. It wasn't too bad, but a bit heavy and needed some minor work. We put a Fibertrends on dad's car and it needed almost nothing. I filled a few tiny pinholes, scuffed it primed it wetsanded, and painted. Total time for the fibertrends was about 3 hours.

Just go with Dave's hoods, you wont be disappointed. Here's a couple of shots of the one on my car. Keep in mind, the cowl panel isn't on yet and I don't have the rubber stoppers all in place, but the fit and finish is excellent on these hoods.
