stock 96 gt power

a 1996 mustang ,was wondering what hp can this stock engine put out?? some one i work with was thinking of buying one and asked me. i said i dont know but my 08 gt puts out about 300 stock.

yeah its barely above the 200 mark. If the guy is willing to put a couple hundred into it he can raise the power up to the 260 mark with some PI stuff.

With a PI swap, full intake and exhaust mods you can get about 260-270rwhp out of one. I've seen them dyno 180-200rwhp stock.

ya, PI swap, full exhaust, underdrive's, and some nice tuning should lay you down about 270-280, i read an artical and they dynoed a mustang stock with just exhaust componets and the mac shorties 1 1/2 equals or 1 5/8 equals lengths layed down about 7 more horses than other major brands did, plus matched along with borla 2.5 xr-1 cat-back
