Guy had this on craigslist. Told me it had a 351. Come to find out it is a 302 with a c6. Told me that the tranny was shot so he came way down in price. But to my luck I found out that the fluid was very low. Added fluid and runs and shifts fine!!! WHOOO HOOOO!!!! Going to search for leaks now. Hell of a deal though. I think.

That's awesome. I love the '70s Ford trucks.

Your lucky it is a 302! If it was a 351 it would have been the 351M like my 78 F-250 has. Nice find. What you going to do with it? Drive it or try to restore it?

Mostly drive it. Make it is dependable. Then I'll start fixin' it up. You know better wheels / tires. Dress up the motor.

Does anyone have any chrome or aluminum wheels from up to a 1996 F150 that they want to get rid of on the cheap???

Those wheels are on Craiglist all day long.

I want a nice one that someone has already restored. The 460 and auto are what I want though! The bad part is the wife would never approve another toy right now. We have our spare house for sale and that is where I keep all the toys so if it sells I would have no place to keep one.

Thanks for the offer!

I always wanted an early-mid 70s F250 and black it out....satin black the grill and window trim...give it that "GNX" sinister black but tasteful look.

How are the cab mounts?

How are the cab mounts?

I think I'll replace them sooner or later. They are pretty squashed. I would like to find a black or grey bench seat with the middle armrest from a 90 - 96 F150.

I kind of dig the two tone look mine has but the flat or satin black has crossed my mind....a lot!

Someone on here was doing some pretty cool powder coating. If I can't find wheels I like, I may look him up. Any idea on the price to powdercoat the wagon wheels on it???

Mustangboy, Kenny is the powder coating master on here. PM him for pricing. He did come valve covers and brackets for me in gloss black. They look awesome.
