It's official. Ponymom Camp is a tried and true Redneck Nation. The story starts years ago...

Always been a thing at our house for Xmas, started with using too much scotch tape, then it was packing tape, then Duct tape. It was a rule you had to bring your pocket knife to the present openings. As the years passed and the kids got older, the Duct tape became more and more prevalent. How much could you put on one package? Last year Jayne wrapped Craig's pretty good with the KY Chrome. Craig took it a step further and got Jayne a gift card, placed it between 2 pieces of drywall, screwed it together, and then taped the package. So it was on for this year. They have outdone themselves! It was the weirdest thing I ever saw. I'm sure Matt, Travis and my brother Ron couldn't believe how determined these 2 kids were!!

Jayne purchased 17 rolls of Duct tape, each a different color. Did you know Walmart sells that many colors of the wonder tape? Even camouflage!! She wrapped one of Craig's presents with 17 layers of Duct tape, then 2 layers of wrapping paper. She also does a basket weave type thing so it is more difficult to grab an end and pull it off! But the best part was when he undid all of the tape, he found a steel cube inside that had been WELDED together! After much abuse with a grinder and a few hits from a hammer, inside that he found a piece of pipe with a threaded cap on both ends. His "present" was inside the pipe. I'm guessing an hour and a half total and a lot of sweating to open this package!

Not to be outdone, Craig brought his "A" game this year! Jayne got a big ole' truck tire, still on the rim. Her "present" was inside the tire. How in the H*ll was she going to get this out? How in the H*ll did he get the present in? (Funny story there) After much jumping on the tire trying to break the bead and a bunch of abuse with a pry bar, she finally took her hog sticker to it and sliced open the tire. Funny site, her in a white sweater and high heels!

Now, I think Craig won for ingenuity and Jayne won for the time it took Craig to open his. However, I wonder how are they going to top this next year? Who raised these nuts? Heaven help us.

BTW - pics are on FOMF site, couldn't get them to load here.

That is awesome I would be laughing so hard watching them try to get to their gifts. Whats next a 5 gallon bucket of concrete with a present in it?

Oh Snap! I wonder which one is going to use that idea first? LOL Craig said next year he is mailing Jayne's present to his cousin in Florida and she would have to go get it. She thought he should have done that this year!

I was thinking something along the lines of maybe water or maybe a plexi box with a mechanically timed foam release or equivalent?
