Anyone have slicks they arent using or know where I can get some? Trying to find some for the upcoming season.... Planning on using them on mine and Chris' car.

Don't have to be anything spectacular... but looking for slicks and rims. I dont know much about them since I've never had to buy any before, so any info or help would be appreciated...

Thanx.

you probally dont need slicks, just get some mt drag radials.

THere seem to be a lot of issues with getting smaller diameter wheels to fit on the S197. I know 05yellowGT has been through a few different attempts. He has gotten soe to fit but they do stick out quite a bit.

Yeah I've heard about them being hard to fit a lot of times. I'll see what all I can find. I tried to check craigslist and ebay... but it's not really the season.

I would put some 17" Mickey drag radials on it. Just find someone selling a set of stockers which is easy to do and that way you can guys can both get a set.

I just tried to do a lil research... it seems like MT street radials, BF Goodrich drag radials or nitto DR's would be best... I dont necessarily need slicks, so DR's would be fine. I know a lot of people just keep em on because they are fine for street too, so I could always just buy a set like you said then swap them once track time is over. I'm not going to be doing a ton of racing on them, but would like to make it out maybe 3 times a month with them. I just dont want to end up buying the wrong tires and throw money away, and them do nothing but spin at the line...

The mt would be great. Dont drive with them on the street if you can help it, they dont last real long on the roads.

Craigles used a MT Street 17" slicks on his car this past year. But keep in mind that with slicks, you will need a different clutch eventually.

I run the MT DR and was happy with them.

I have a pair of MT DRs 275/40/17. I have cut a 1.63 60' and 12.5x passes on them. For NA they are perfect and have plenty of passes on them. I have them on stock 17 bullitts. PM me if you are interested.
