I am always on high alert when at a public range. You just can't control what others do, or if they have been properly trained/taught firearm saftey or not.

several years ago I was target shooting at target world when I heard a gunshot right BEHIND me. (not supposed to happen when you're on the firing line) I turned around and some kid "accidentally" fired a .454 cowboy gun into the wall behind me. My best friend and I QUICKLY packed up our stuff and got the heck outta there!

last time I shot there, it wasn't an accident.

Guy rented a gun and bought a box of ammo, sent 49 rounds down normally, saved the last one to off himself.

It is why Hugh and his wife sold the business.

“For lot of businesses like ours, one of the things they worry about is attempted suicide,” Blanco said. “It’s always in the back of your mind that it could happen and we’ve been very fortunate that this hasn’t happened before.”

Not since they have owned it............

You know...it would be hard for me not to kill some fuck (or at least beat the fuck out of them) that dicked around and shot someone at a range... :(...It's not rocket science...if you wanna shoot/plink, EDUCATE YOURSELF!!

Try being on a 100 yard range (Spring Valley) and you are walking back from the target area, about to cross the creek, and you notice someone on the firing line handling a rifle?????

the DNR guy chewed his ass out like a drill sargent!

I quit going to Target world long ago because of the half ass crap that went on there. People would shoot the target runners and pretty much everything else. Nothing would get said to them. Not to mention the lighting sucked.

Then you would get yelled at for doing multipal doubles. I would only do these when it was clear for a lane or two to wither side also.

You do understand most IDIOTS had no business doing strings of double taps right????

Alot of the rounds would go high, above the target.........

Anyone ever shot bowling pin comps there?
