So, I was rolling the Bentley tonight. I decided to test her out a bit and compare it to the Cobra performance wise.
Specs:
- 2006 Continental GT
- VW 6.0L W12 twin turbo
- 550 HP
- 480 TQ
- 5258 Lbs
- All wheel drive
- 6 speed auto
- 0-60 4.6 sec
- 15.9" front brakes, 13.2" rear
No comparison to the Cobra at all from about 20 to 100 MPH. We are talking a couple bus lengths. The Bentley pulled pretty hard though, it seems to be geared for top end speeds. Bentley lists the top speed as 198 MPH. Still, it has nowhere near the top end pull that the Cobra has. The brakes were smooth, but not as powerful as I thought they should be. I'd say the Cobra would easily out brake it as well. The curb weight and the automatic take away from it so much.
Bottom line, unless you need the AWD and plan to use it as your winter beater- all you ballers should spend your 100G elsewhere. Pimpin' aint easy in this economy.
OK, I'll fess up. Technically I don't own it, but all the rest is accurate.
