Lifter Question

I have been told most 85 4 bbl HO motors came with roller lifters. On saturday i removed my stock intake to install a new Weiand Stealth intake when i noticed that my lifters were in fact hydraulic not roller. Can anyone shed some light on this for me if i was misinformed

I believe the early built 85's had non roller,and the later had roller.It was a change over year.Either that or some one before you swapped the motor to a non roller.But its most likely an early built 85.

numbers on the block match to the vin so i think your right early build. Thanks for the info
