I finally put some numbers down.

It took Kelly S and Mike B a while to troubleshoot through my fried ECU, my bullshit speaker wire harness and other misc problems from where the previous owner (2 owners ago) did a v8 swap and pretty much hand made the harness....

Any ways...

Made 400 on mikes Dyno and ran out of fuel at 4500 rpms at 6.6 lbs of boost.
Throwing an inline on and looking to make a safe 425ish on 93 and who knows how much I can make on E85.

So thanks to everyone who has contributed, Kelly, Todd, the group from Kentucky, and all of Kelly's friend who wrenched on my car.

Looking to be complete by this week. Just in time to sit in storage... Time to get a third job to pay the shop bill now haha.

You would probably be better off getting bigger injectors if you already have a 255 pump.

It has 60lb injectors in it he is running out of pump the fuel pressure is dropping off around 4k RPMS

I'm sure you have a walbro GSS342 high pressure intank his has a standard pressure GSS340.

The GSS340 is rated for 500 flywheel horsepower so I think its the problem its causing a lean spike and the pressure dips and then try's to recover. I'm positive this is the issue since I've had it happen in the past with this pump at MD. Also I was wrong in the beginning it is a high pressure but it has since been replaced with the 342 which is a much better pump.

I plan on putting another new fuel filter on when I add the booster pump Monday so it should be good to go Monday when I get the pump.

Why in the world would you even consider running some junk ass fuel like E85?? That stuff is garbage and they shouldn't even be allowed to sell it. If you want to step up and run good gas, run some REAL race gas. It's the safest and it'll allow you to make as much power as you want. E85 is a joke!

Rob I have actually seen some decent numbers on that shit. I'm with Jim on the fuel filter thing but if you plan on running E85 the helper pump is a good idea... Keep in mind you will be using roughly 30% more fuel on E85

Ok BUT, what have you seen better numbers on....E85 or turboblue/c16/cam2 or some of the other REAL race fuels? If your going to spend that kinda money building a car, why short cut it on fuel. E85 might be a little better than regular 93, but it's no where near as good as a real race fuel.

There's nothing wrong with E85, I'll have a tune for it on my car. There's plenty of good reasons to run it, along with the fact that's the cheapest fuel you can find that comes in @ 105 octane. The only 2 downsides that I can find is where you can purchase it, and the need for larger fuel pumps to meet the demand.

So you'll spend 50K on a car and then worry about saving 20bux everytime you fill your car up, seems pretty smart to me. :rolleyes: I know guys that actually build gas stations and deal with this crap fuel and they've all told me it's junk and they wouldn't run it in anything they own. And yeah it may be cheaper, but when you burn 30% more...is it really cheaper???
