T3/T4 XS-POWER Turbo... worth buying?

I can get a turbo from a buddy of mine for $200... is an XS-Power t3/t4 worth that?

and for $400 I can get 2 2.3L's, a turbo head, BOV, turbo 2.3 exhaust manifold... and some other stuff...

worth getting?

xs power turbos are throw-aways. Cheap, and do ok for a little while, but its russian roullette. If swapping the turbo out doesn't scare you, sure. If you only want to do it once, but a decent turbo.

XS power is ebay shit.

My buddy bought a new one off ebay and took it apart. He put in better bearings which typically fail on them because the ones in them are cheep. He hasn't finished building the motor in the car it is going in. I'm curious if it will work well since he doesn't have much money wrapped up in the turbo.

I say if you want to play it safe don't waste your money on it like Mike said above.

I will pass on that turdbo if its as bad as everyone says. If I did a turbo I would have to change EVERYTHING.... screw that.
