Ok guys/gals, I am going to give this project posting a second try. I started one a long time ago but must of been deleted since it was vacant for so long. Anyway I've finally had some time to continue working on my "never-ending story" as it seems. So here are some pics of where I started and where I'm at now. I'll try to update this better than the previous post. :bigthumb

The project, 1986 Mustang GT... The goal, repaint, shave door handles, and rebuild motor (supercharged 331), to be completed for next summer (I hope).

To save some bandwidth I won't post all my pics, just some and the links to the others.

So what I've done so far was replace the rusted frame rail at the shock towers, shave door handles, antenna, trunk latch, plug weld some of the "swiss cheese holes" in the engine bay, and just recently rhino lined the engine bay.

over the weekend I got the engine bay primered and lined. I think it turned out good. I saw my friends truck bed with this DIY bed liner and thought I would try it on the engine bay... What do you guys think???

Even in primer it looks so much better than before...

I like how you smoothed everything out, it looks pretty slick the way you boxed in the frame rail like that.
The engine bay kind of turned out like crinkle finish, not sure how I feel about it, but to each his own!
Keep up the good work! :bigthumb:

Thanks... yeah, I figured I would get some mixed reviews on the finish. I was skeptic myself but, I think it turned out good, plus it should be more durable than paint when working under the hood... :D
