My friend has a 1987 GT, red with a red interior. He is the second owner. Has about 8,000 miles on it. All original.

Yes, that is correct, 8,000 miles.

He is looking to sell it, just curious what everyone thought it may be worth.

A close friend just sold a 95 cobra with 12,000 miles for $16,000. The car was perfect, not even any flash rust on the edges of the brake rotors. The problem is you have to find a cash buyer, The age of the vehicle will not allow it be financed as a traditional collector car and since the credit crunch and slow economy it is hard to find buyers with large reserves of money. Good luck with the sale. Be patient. The cobra took 13+months.

I'll give you the line i give everyone who's selling something....it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. To one guy, that's just another Mustang, albeit nicer than the rest. He may only want to pay a lick over a high mileage one. Then to another guy, that's the holy grail of Mustangs. You just have to find that holy grail buyer to get what you want out of it.
