I think it is an improvement, but I am in the minority since I like the New Edge body better than the 2005 and up.

"The 2010 GT retains its 4.6L three-valve V8, which has now been bumped up to 315 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. The air intake has been reworked so that fresh air is drawn from behind the grille rather than from the wheel well. The duct from the air filter box to the throttle body has been straightened and smoothed out to reduce flow restriction. The whole car has also been stiffened and new sound insulation has been added for a quieter driving experience.
Since Mustang drivers still like to hear the roar of a big V8, the engineers have compensated. A small tube coming off the side of the duct runs to the passenger compartment giving occupants some of that V8 induction sound directly. GT models with the new 19-inch wheel-and-tire package also get an aluminum strut tower brace to stiffen the car's structure further. The base 4.0L V6 remains unchanged for 2010, although 2011 or soon after will probably see the Mustang follow the Escape's path with more significant powertrain upgrades. That's when we're likely to see Ford's smaller displacement, turbocharged, direct-inject EcoBoost engines added to the pony."

I was wondering when someone would catch that... :bigthumb
I think if you showed just that front drivers fender shot,(pic 39) 8 out of 10 would probably say Camaro...
I Love the new headlight and tail light look...:bigthumb

Some of you guys must be looking at different pics than me, cause that car doesn't look like a single piece of sheet metal hasn't been touched, from the rear quarters to the fenders, the nose and the rear. I think the only thing that might be the same is the roof line and parts of the doors. The thing about looking like a Camaro...i don't know about that either, it just looks like a tweaked '05 nose, so if anything the Camaro looks like the Mustang to me. The only thing i'm not big on so far is the shape of the tail lights, but i like how they're seperated by backup lights now.

I think its looking more like the 67 fastback overall. But i don't like the tail lights at all.

Thr roof and all the glass are identical to the 05 car. Just like the 99-04 cars galss and roof were the same as the 94-99 cars.

Uhh yeah, agreed. Idk how I feel.... I guess I'll have to wait until I see one on the road, or at the auto expo which is just around the corner.

I just checked out all 80, and... the 05 is definately better.
Dislikes:
The way the rear decklid/tailights is angled forward looks bad. Mustangs have always had a vertical rear light area. W.T.F.?
The rear bumper is a nightmare. Way too many planes and angles. Could Ford possibly have made the transition between the rear fender and bumper any more obvious? It's about 3 feet long, angles down the whole side of the car, and zig zags. That just looks SO bad. Could they not have done it like the 94-04s? That line just goes away when you look at the car.
All the unpainted black plastic? It completely surrounds the bottom of the car, and practically covers the front end. I can see it already- dried out and grey, complete with wax stains, tar and bug guts. I feel sorry for people who will put wax on these cars paint. It'll be so tough to avoid the plastic, one slip and it's pretty much done for. You just cannot get some of those waxes off bare plastic.
The front end, down lown. What is Ford's fixation on the "high center" look in the front? The 99-04 GT's have that arched up in the middle look, this has a huge rectangular cut in the middle. There's a reason Ford sold so many Mach 1 lower bumper lips. It gave the 99-04 GTs a nice low, even look. What's with the plastic just slapped on the bumper under the light?
The hubcap sized fake gas cap filler. Jeez, really? The car has 4 wheels on it already, it's starting to look like a spare wheel is bolted to the trunk.
The gauges continue to be crap, but look, you can make them purple.
The antenna base is huge, and what's the thing in the dead center of the decklid in #56? XM or something? Holy crap!
The door speakers. Ugly.
The seats look like they have little to no lateral support.
Likes:
The actual sheetmetal (not the plastic bumpers) looks great. Practically perfect.
The hood is bad ass. Looks like you can fit a big ass twin screw under it.
The headlights look really good.
The ambient interior lighting, aside from the rainbow thing, is nice to have at times.
The side mirrors are better, but still huge square bricks.
The interior looks really nice, but the dash is boring as hell. It's hard to get good pics of an interior, the finishes will look way nicer in person.
The round shift knob.
