Oh boy, did passenger side on a 2000 also. That was a week long project. Buy new studs and nuts from Ford. They are expensive but well worth it. I ended up buying a new manifold for that side from O'reilly Auto parts. Had to weld nuts on a few of the broken studs then used the impact to back them out. Soak them for a few days with PB blaster too. Good luck.

i have done a few. easiest way it just to remove wheel wells to have plenty of room and light. The last one i did i had to drill and re-tap a few. Not to fun, ford said it is caused by rust forming in between head and manifold, eventually broken the studs.
