Couture Vs. Lesnar

So what's everyone's prediction here? Part of me thinks Lesnar is just another Kimbo, and his size makes him so fascinating. Then again, if the guy could really pick up some MMA tactics, he could be pretty deady. I didn't see any of his fights but obviously if he's gotten this far he's doing something right. I'd imagine it's tough to submit a guy his size, but i'm hoping my man Couture still has it in him to rip this guy apart. Randy's my favorite fighter so i'm rootin for him all the way.

I just hope Randy still has it in him. Hasn't he been out of the loop for a good year? I don't recall seeing him fight for a long time. I hope he's still in good form. In his prime i don't think it would even be up for debate...Lesnar would get tore up. It's just that Lesnar is a damned freak of nature and throws punches hard enough to knock an elephant down. He's almost the perfect ground and pound fighter.

I didn't see the fight...too bad. I do kind of agree that it's better for Brock to win since he's fresh, but he's still too old to have much of a career in MMA. I can't wait to see Brock get submitted really bad though.

I keep hearing people whine about Brock getting the shot. Who were they going to give it to if it wasn't him? Noguiera and Mir are already set to fight next month, and there aren't any other guys in HW that would give Couture a run for his money.

I don't think Brock deserved the title shot, but as you said who else was there besides Mir or Nogueira. I thought that they should have stripped Couture of his belt and made the winner of Mir v. Nogueira the champion. I mean Mir won the belt, got in an accident and couldn't defend so they stripped him of it. Couture, as much as I like him, should have been stripped of the belt since he couldn't defend it. Heck he was suing the UFC for crying out loud.

Brock sells tickets + Couture sells tickets = Huge Amounts of Money being made. I can't blame the UFC.

Oh well it is done. Lesnar won and congrats to him. If he learns something from every fight, goes back and trains hard then in a year or two he may become the most dominate HW ever in the UFC.

Well he just beat one of the greatest fighters in MMA. He looked fine to me. His hands are really good.He is fast for a large athlete. I think the issue is he can't train to put weight on. He has to make the 265lbs limit. He is used to being 295-305 lbs. IMO Brock will go done as one of the greatest HW of all time

Randy got knocked out. They slowed the punch down and it was a nice short to the temple that hit hard. Randy got hammer fisted in the face because he could not defend himself. Brock owned his ass. For the record I love Randy but I can give respect where it is due. I was 2-2 in MMA. It takes a lot of things to competitive at that level. I will Guarantee there is nobody on this board that has it. I thought I did......:lol: but that was back when there was no weight classes and I was young at 20 years old.

i agree with 85 ss 302 coupe, O and mavowar, you would probally be surprised how many people on here might fight, I know my 180 ass couldnt touch brock, but I love to fight.
