I'm hoping to have my car done and ready to make at least the last half of it. My only concern is finding e85 along the way.

Kind of sweet this time. Mostly they have been too far for me to even think about going. Then again, I am a Car Craft kind of guy. Do it yourself performance!!

I run E85 and tuned three spots on my chip, one for E85, one for E70 and one for 93 oct. I went on a trip with it this summer and we couldn't find E85 anywhere to speak of, so I had to put gasoline in it. I was mostly driving expressway so it really didn't matter and it is a very conservative tune.

Oh, well disregard the previous ramblings then. Just bring a chase vehicle with a 200 gallon tank filled with ethanol, or a spare carb.

I can guarantee you won't have any problems finding in in Wisconson, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Kentucky has a few places and Tennessee has decent coverage.
This website may help to plan a trip like that.

If I remember right, the GM performance parts cars and trucks are all fueled by e85. I will look to be positive. Considering this years route I would think e85 should be easily accessable. They made a big deal about flex fuel capable GM products on the 07 tour I think.

Is it just a car show or is there racing involved as well?

The only racing they have is a parking lot SCCA Solo course usually. Its more oriented as a rolling car show. Its a great time. Really get to see a variety of cars.
