Anyone Hiring aroung MT.ORAB or Owensville
I have been trying to find a job for about a week now and cant find one. I was in a bad car wreck and now it is time for me to get a job. I would be willing to do anything, any hours, very hard worker.

If i could find decent work out that way, i'd probably move back out there. Unfortunatly that's why i'm stuck around Eastgate since it's closer to everything. It's one thing driving up 71 for a job when you live in Eastgate, but adding the extra drive from Mt. Orab is overkill, especially in the winter.

Jesse that's crazy man....i hope you're making good money. I'm not even gonna bother driving out that way again unless it's at least $15 an hour. I was driving to a job up by Tri County Mall and making $14 i was spending $80 a week on gas, getting ~25mpg. I'm of the opinion that i'd rather make less money close to home and not deal with traffic jams and gas prices. Right now i'm only driving about 5 miles to work and i'm looking at 2 weeks on one tank of gas and it's great.

I was the same way... until my last job screwed me (Advance Auto)
I am making $14, I wish it was a little more, but my car gets 20-ish mpg's.
If I leave at a decent time, I pretty much go thru all the spots before the traffic gets tight. Sometimes

Traffic is the reason I didn't buy land off Bodman Road, near Mt Orab, and I was working in Tri County at the meat plant.

While Kroger is union, it takes FIVE years to top out unless you can get promoted to an assistant manager like my son did. Three years at Krogers, one year out of HS and he's making $16 an hour.
With the Ford tranny plant closing, or closed already, that area will be tough to get a job. I know a few were making the trip via bus to Wilmington for DHL/ABX.

Yep, DHL is going under for domestic shipping.
I need to find another part time job as courier/driver, this 3 hours a day pays the bills, but not quite enough to get back out on my own.

DHL is closing shop...that's 8k jobs lost in Wilmington. I'm saying, if you have a job, no matter how crappy, you better keep it. I'm at Walmart for the time being after getting laid of, and i'm looking to get a part time job on top of that to suppliment it. Factory jobs right now are just too risky. Walmart is one of the only companies who's actually making money right now so i think i'm safe there.
