Ok so i my Srt-4 blew a head gasket if you look at my "Some people don't need to drive" thread you will see what the dealer all did... But the biggest problem was when fixing the front end collision instead of fixing the electric fan harness that was broken they siliconed it together... Leading to the fan not coming on and the headgasket blowing and shooting the radiator off... What potential damage could be cause by this much heat on the motor?? I know its almost a guarantee the aluminum head is warped... But what about my turbo getting this hot also?? List any problem this much heat could cause to the motor internally... Granted my car just turned 28,000 miles.
Thanks

If you have been using full synthetic motor oil, then as long as the oil kept flowing, damage to internal parts should be minimal. Same for the turbo. Think of how hot the exaust gets.
If they mill the head, it will have a little more compression which could give you a little more power but could mess with detonation so a good dyno tune is in order. Hope the dealer is going to cover all of their screw up.

Well i have contacted my insurance company also to help me with what is gonna be a LONG fight with the dealer... Also have contacted an attorney...Because the Gm of the dealer told me basically that i have to drive it in... So already talking to him twice i'm sure its gonna be a hassle... Because i asked them to send a tow truck to pick it up Monday... And he said well its your job to get it to us because we can't do anything until we see it... It only takes like a 2 minute idle to get to 200 degrees

Until they inspect your car it is your responsibility to get it there. Once there and they find the fault is on their shoulders they will reimburse you for the tow.
The reason they do this in the event it is not there fault people still refuse to pay tow bills.
Having said that.....If they Jack you around and refuse to help you the attorney should be able to help. If all else fails I have 15 years as an ASE Master tech. I have done quite a bit of upgrades on SRTs......Depending on what you want done or what has been damaged would determine final cost. When you find out and if they do not step up and do the right thing my rates will be a lot cheaper than going to a shop.

Already started out bad... I called and told them the issue about the harness... Well they tell me the fans were never messed with... Well its clearly brand new silicone on the harness... And how in the hell do you replace the radiator and core support and never mess with the electric fans???

Take photos of everything you can see. Write everything down. Let your insurance company and the lawyers do the rest.

I have taken tons of photos... I called the dealer today and they said they never removed or messed with the fans... How do you replace the radiator and core support and not messed with the fan?? When the electric fan mounts to the radiator... Looks like its time for an attorney...

Went today... They basically told me they didn't silicone the wire and that the headlight bracket that was broke was broke in a prior crash... When i have clear pictures from before the crash that the headlight bracket was fine and it is brand new silicone... When i told them i would be back with an attorney and i was calling the BBB they said well you can get off our lot and take your car with you... After i paid for a tow down i had to have it towed back... They are not taking blame for anything at all...

I called Chrysler's corporate office and they told me to take it to another Chrysler dealer to get inspected because they only have the eyes and ears of the dealer that did half ass work... But it cost me $260 to have it towed down and back today... And now have to take it to another dealer... These tow bills are killing me... I hope to get the tow bills reimbursed but who knows how this is going... If anyone has a car trailer i could use for at the most a week so i can transport my car back and forth from these dealers to have it looked at it would be greatly appreciated and i would even throw you some cash...

check with your insurance company, I had towing coverage on my State Farm policy.
Was an extra $25 a year......

Will check on that... If you have a trailer and wouldn't mind me using it just let me know though.. I have to run around it around and get opinions from a few different shops so that i have a few other shops words on the repairs so its not just my word versus theirs... Tow truck drivers aren't very easy on your car... It will probably have more damage if i keep getting it towed everywhere...
