What is the most that can be done to one before voiding warranty? From what I have heard, you can get a cold air and catback. Both have to be ford racing and dealer installed. Is there any truth to this? Tell me what you guys know. We are getting ready to mod my buddies black with silver stripes 08'

I don't think there is any problem with CAI and exhaust even if you install aftermarket parts yourself. When you change the internals or alter the tune, that is usually where you get problems from a dealer.

Its all up to the dealer. Any change from stock could be grounds for them to void the warranty. Some are more accommodating than others.

actually there are even s/c upgrades that you can add from ford racing and keep your warranty, but again, dealer installed

FYI, they can only void the powertrain warranty if you modify the engine. They can't deny a claim on the airbag system for example, no matter what you did to the engine. Some dealers will try to tell you the entire warranty is voided, but it's not.

Looked into this one and found you only get 12 monthes or 12,000 miles unless your 3 years or 36,000 comes first.
