It looks like Factory Five is coming out with a new killer kit car. I love their version of the Cobra, the GTM supercar is incredible......but this tops all:

That thing is gonna be bad ass!!!!! It begs for a boosted LSX powertrain. They had a count down on their site for the press release a few weeks ago...I stayed logged on all day at work for it.

I love Factory Five's cars, they make some killer products.

33 ford begs for no Chevy platform. Maybe a DOHC blown 5.4

But I want mine to be fast and relaible

We'll see all kinds of engine combinations in these things when they hit the streets. Surely the majority will be 5.0 based, it's a Factory Five car and they're known for the cheap 5.0 based kit cars.

I say it begs for an LSX platform for 3 main reasons:
1) light weight all aluminum platform
2) amazing reliability at ridiculous power levels
3) mega power potential while still being driveable

Part of me really thinks this car would be send chills down your spine if you saw it cruising through a parking lot, dressed in all black, with some serious blower whine too...

What engine does the car use?
The Hot Rod is ready to accept any of the small block Ford engines (289, 302, 351W) and the 4.6L.

Looks like the kit come with a drive shaft matched for ford combo also.

Ford Chevy what ever it is a cool concept kit car.

What engine?

Moddified LS6? I think. The same motor in the 405 hp Z06's.

They utilize C5 running gear, which comes standard with the LS1. However, this platform leaves you open to all Gen III and IV engines. From the mildest early 350 horse LS1, to the 505 HP 427 CID LS7, or the 638 HP 6.2 Liter LS9 found in the ZR1s.

Using anything other than a base C5 is pretty much a waste. It'll cost you a ton more to buy a Z06 to use as a donor than it would to just buy a base C5 and modify what you want to.

LS-6 or LS-7 would be an excellent choice and they are very light designs.

Thanks!

I do know, that I'd like to put Ford power in one. I'd think a Terminator, would make a fine power train.
