So Obama has put up a simple "tax cut calculator" on his website.

http://taxcut.barackobama.com/

It's a very well designed propaganda tool. The simple minded will likely go pop in their income and information, and see that the Obama column will nearly always reflect a higher "tax savings" than under the McCain column.

Here is what I find interesting about it. First, if your information is favorable to the purpose of the calculator it tells you in real numbers how much your Obama vote is worth. However, if the information is not favorable to you it simply says, "You will probably not get a tax cut under the Obama-Biden plan." It doesn't tell you how much your taxes will go UP. It also seems some votes are worth more than others.

Out of curiousity, I plugged in my girlfriend's information. She already pays NO TAXES. She pays in a minimal amount, and get's that back plus a big chunk of the money I paid in. When I saw her "refund" check last year I said, "Oh damn, I was wondering where my money went." Well, it seems that Obama is offering $1380 to purchase her vote. Mine apparently is only worth $250. Figures. I'm wondering though, how does someone who gets a tax payment, also have tax savings? I wonder if it's a double negative kind of trick? lol

So hurry along now and see how much Obama will pay you for your vote! It should be interesting to see what votes are worth.

.....I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the Unites States of Socialism, and for the welfare for which it gives; One nation under Obama, fully divided, with no guns, and wealth redistribution to all.

I don't think that's what I gave 5 years to this country for

At this point, its far beyond republican and democrat. I feel that this man is truely a threat to America and everything it stands for.

Way to go dip shit (Obama), you have successful started a tear in the fabric of this nation.

I don't want to argue with people about their mesiah, for that would be as fruitless a conversation as telling a Jew that they missed the Jesus fade, or telling a Christian that Jesus wasn't real. I simply pity their ignorance.

Biden, ehh, okay, maybe. But this wolf in sheeps clothing, promising the impossible is unacceptable. He has honed in on the uneducated sheople in country experiencing the ebs and flows of a free market, and they have no idea what they're signing up for.

I'll end with this: VOTE, and make sure that others who share you views do the same.

I was trying to explain this stuff to my friend who think's Obama is the way to go... and I told him he didn't understand the true meaning of what is going on. I tried to explain it to him the best I could. But I'm not the best person with words sometimes.

Just goes to show how Easily impressionable people are... like a bunch of fucking lemmings.

And I have noticed this TREND among younger people towards obama...

Hell, I was watching TV last night and Nikelodeon had a commercial on Turner Classic Movies about kids choosing the President... and guess what? it was for Obama!!!

I guess when you get assloads of money handed to you from unknown sources for your campaign you can get all the airtime you need to brainwash people...

This county will promptly go to hell in a handbasket with the quickness...

Back in 1992 I was a highschool senior. I remember when Bill Clinton was an underdog in the democratic primaries and I picked him to win the whole deal in my US History class. It was ignorant luck (at least I got extra credit out of him getting elected), I knew nothing about him really. I just liked his presense. I supported Clinton all the way through the general election too, mostly because Clinton was cool. Who in high school wants to support the uncool guy? The old guy? The losing team? I was absolutely stuck up Clintons ass until the very moment I walked into the voting booth. There was one issue that changed my mind litterally at the last minute, and caused me to vote for Bush. I think back to the reasons I was for Clinton, and there isn't one actual issue that I even knew about except that one that changed my mind. It scares me to think that other people vote that ignorantly as then.

Oh, by the away. That one issue was abortion. It's the one issue that trumps all others for me still.

Wow I can save between $250 and $500 with the Obama tax plan.

To bad he will triple the tax on ammunition for firearms if not completely ban them alltogether, and raise taxes on pretty much everything else I buy.

total "collector tax savings"= -500+

I am 23 yrs old and i wouldnt say that i know everything there is to know about polatics but i do know one thing is that unfortunately my generation is going to be the one that votes obama in. all he is, is a very good public speaker. people are so short sighted that they cant take a step back for a minute and see the big picture and form an educated decision about who to vote for. I have a feeling that obama will win and i know that we will go deeper into a recession than we already are. my fiance and i are voting for mccain and hopefully the other smart americans will as well.

hmm so the tax plan i will save $1800. A year on my taxes.

That's nice but when you look at the increase of the capitol gains tax he is proposing. Then the ridiculous amount of increase in the estate tax he is planning.

Well there went my $1800 and much much more.

My dad served in the Navy during the Carter era and he has told me bad stories about how bad it was for the military with the downsizing and how boring it could be and how it was bad all around. He and I were talking and he said he's afraid if Obama gets elected it will be something similar to the Carter era in the military. Im hoping for McCain to get in cuz myself, as an army officer, would hate to see something like that happen.
