Here's a link from the Armed Forces Press Services describing the contingency plans the Pentagon had in place to transfer funds from other Pentagon accounts to keep the troops fully funded. This is not the first time this procedure was used. Congress, the Pentagon and the Defense Dept. are not as stupid as you are.

2 of my brother in laws are in the military ( one is an E8 in the Army and one is an E6 in the Marines) and they have both been in Iraq and Afghanistan since this whole war started, And neither one of them remember ever running out of food...
I would like to see some report, news article, etc. that says or proves this ever happened...

I briefly looked for something online and couldn't find anything either. One of my Marine friends back from Iraq said he never ran out of food, nor my brother who was there as an MP. It may be untrue. If it is, then I was lied to. Oh well. I didn't claim it was true; I claimed that's what I was told, and was. One of my friends who told me that is still in Iraq so I haven't been able to ask him more about it. I'd believe my ex-wife over Venom. If he's right, I'm sure it's purely accidental.
