Hello all,

My buddy's wife's 98 Mustang has a cracked intake.....apparently a pretty common problem. Anyone have one laying around they want to sell cheap??

I have an aluminum crossover one, Like new in fact still has the stickers on it. $60

I am not too familiar with the 4.6 stuff......but to give you an idea of his problem, he had burns on his arms this morning. Apparently, the crack made it's way to the coolant temp sensor and while the car was idling, it shot out of the intake spraying him with coolant. This Aluminum crossover style, is it a beefier version of the plastic OEM intake?

Can I have him call the number on your site? Also, are you Alan?

The aluminum crossover is the updated version for the NPI and PI intakes. It helps prevent that crack from happening since its not plastic. Back in 98 some came with the aluminum cross and some didn't. Alan's price is a damn good one too.

98 should be NPI. These were actually a class action lawsuit through ford motor company. The aluminum crossover intake is the fix. These intakes are about $250 new.

Thanks guys. I picked one up. I greatly appreciate your help. It looks like my buddy is going to drop the car off this week, and I am going to put it on for him.....hoping to get some beer out of the deal. Thanks again guys.

I was going to say I yanked my plastic one off and it is still technically good. If anyone wants it come get it before I chuck it in the dumpster. To dangerous to use IMO.
