My 88gt has the battery in the hatch. When my car is warm it doesn't want to turn over its like the battery doesnt have enough power. I have tried cleaning off the ground but that still doesn't help. When the car is cold it cranks slow at first then it speeds up. It is grounded to the bolt on the rear bumper and i have a ground going from my alternator bracket to the front frame rail. I have the ground bolted to the bolt that goes through the alternator bracket into my aluminum head if that matters. Thanks for any help.

You need to run a full length ground wire from the battery to the block, plus the one's to the chassis.

Yep use some big gauge stuff. Also keep it away from heat sources as that can change the resistance of the wire and give you a hard start.

i Replaced the starter solenoid and the ground from my battery from a 4gauge to a 2 gauge and bolted it in the same spot and that seemed to take care of the problem.

When you have free time, run the ground all the way to the original ground spot the battery was grounded to from the factory, no more problems then.
