ok I have now gotten 3 different answers for the same question D.S.S Racing told me one thing, a friend of mine told me something different and yet another told me a 3rd.
How do you CORRECTLY measure a pushrod to find out what length you need?

You buy a pushrod length checker, install it in place of your pushrod, and adjust the length until your rocker arm pattern's your valve correctly. You can slide a piece of paper between the rocker and valve to see the pattern.

ok secondly i have AFR 185 heads and all the studs and rockers and guide plates are from AFR.......In the middle of the bolt that holds the rocker down there is a hex-nut inside of it i put it at 4 3/4 turns IN and the push rods I have follow the pattern they are supposed to.....is it a bad thing to do it like that?
