My car got backed into last wednesday in front of my house. Visitor next door wasn't looking and hit my rear quarter and door. (I live in center of cul-de-sac) She has insurance and they've already accepted responsibility and set up a body shop and car rental. I was just wondering if a few questions can be answered. Will they replace quarter? Door? How much will they paint? Just the quarter and door skin? Here's pics http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq190/lxstng/P9170006.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq190/lxstng/P9170001.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq190/lxstng/P9170002.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq190/lxstng/P9170003.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq190/lxstng/P9170004.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq190/lxstng/P9170005.jpg No biggie just wanted some opinions. Im glad she had insurance.

I would think they will repair the quarter. It should pin-pull pretty easy. The door is a toss up, but Me personally I would ask that it be replaced with a OEM replacement . It could easily be repaired also but since its someone elses insurance, I'd get it replaced!!

As long as its the right way I don't mind. The shop I have arranged to use is where the ford dealer I've bought from uses.

I took my car in today. 1950 dollar estimate. They are going to try to pull the door and quarter but admitted either may need replace. 38 hrs of labor too. Something I hadn't noticed till today was it tweeked the body line for the trunk and taillight just a tiny bit. Glad im not paying for it. I think my son wants me to keep the rental car they gave me. It does ride and drive pretty nice a 09 fusion. Very smooth for sure compared to my lowered stang and low profile tires. The stereo bumps pretty good too for a stock system.
One cool thing a about where i took it fortune collision was the rep will take pictures and I can check on progress of job on their website. Have to get the job # tommorow to acces it.

WARNING! ... especially being white, check your car out very very well from there. I had a white mazda 6 fixed by them a few years, back long story short between them and the insurance adjuster i was ready to kill them all. I'm a former body man which i didnt let them know, but i told them to do certain things before estimate ect which they didnt, ended up with 2 supplements because they didnt listen to me and check it on a rack first underneath. I was paying for the rental car, due to the 2 supplements and having to order parts they had it an extra week. I also asked them to give me estimate to paint rear bumper which was damaged previously since they would be painting half the car anyhow. (I was going to pay out of pocket) They didnt fix nor did they ever give me estimate. The 2 side skirts were both to be replaced... only 1 was replaced, and my insurance was billed for both. There was still a slight ding in the hood that they did body work on, i couldnt see when i picked it up because it was white and overcast day, and they didnt even clean the outside off well. Also the rear bumper (what i wanted out of pocket repaired, should have been repaired from the wreck because when the car went airborn it had actually scraped off part which i didnt see. Oh yah they also started work on the car before i had even authorized them to be the repair site or repair it. Check the car over with a fine tooth comb before you sign off or sign the check ect. When i had contacted them about the other stuff they seemed dissinterested, and would have cost me more rental car time ect, i said hell with it, they hacked it once they arent touching it again. Traded car a few months later.
Hope this isnt too late to warn ya.
Glad i'm back up here now where i can trust people.
