We don't need an SBZ day to see twisted run. Just bring it to any track and just ask for single runs. I am sure the powers that be have this in the plans. We will know when we need to.

I think a lot of people want to see it go down the track. Whenever Craig is ready, we'll let you know. It's only going to the track once before I sell it, so if you miss out, you'll have to catch the video. Unless of course, we get lucky and somebody local buys it, but I am not counting on that. :(

We put a load on the roller to get some drivability tuned in and all was well at 10psi.
So we were getting ready to do a full pull and the passenger side exhaust decided to come off. Its fixed now, but we are munching on some Whiteys so....

With Halloween coming up, my trip to the dentist, my meeting with the Basketball coach, spend time with my girls....lets hope there is enough hours in the day to get TT ready for TS.:o

Things left to do:
-Fix exhaust so it doesnt blow off. Its done it twice on the dyno, and wouldnt be a good thing on the big end.
-Find a tach and get it installed.
-Bleed brakes
-Finish tuning TT
-Final route all grounds and button up the interior

Less talk, more work....Ill check in later.:)

Family comes first. If it doesn't make it to Tri State this weekend, it's not a big deal. Do what you need to do first! Believe me, spend as much time with your loved ones as you can, TT will still be there next weekend. ;)

So is it safe to say that TT push the 1,000Hp mark?

I'm looking for the paperwork from Paul's Automotive, where Vinny had it dyno'd two years ago. 918 or something like that keeps sticking it in my mind, because he kept saying he wasn't going to be happy until it reached the 1,000 HP mark.

Did you cut the wires for a 4cyl? Shouldnt be a problem to solder them back.
If you wanna donate it, bring it down as soon as you can. Paul will be back tomorrow night to ,HOPEFULLY, finish up the tuning on TT and I would like to have everything buttoned up and ready BEFORE Friday.

Dude, thats Awesome!!

I was wondering what Chip(mista) was going to do minus his Tach??:(

TT has the sport Comp gauges. If we stay with that style, we need a #3905

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=ATM%2D3905&N=700+115&autoview=sku

http://www.jegs.com/i/Auto+Meter/105/3905/10002/-1

A less expensive option would be this one...#233905

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=ATM%2D233905&N=700+115&autoview=sku

http://www.jegs.com/i/Auto+Meter/105/233905/10002/-1

I can get either one a lil cheaper than Jegs or Summit. So I will leave the decision up to you. But PM Mista first before you do anything. :)

THANK YOU BOTH for stepping up!!

I think he would save his coin up and go with the 3905. He had alot of time in TT so what would an extra week or two be at that point. Besides, the 3905 does look better and thats what we are trying to accomplish here.:)

Ahhh, LEE's Fried Chicken!! After Dinner, we went out to do a pull. Hmm, shifter is acting up....WTF!!>?!?>! So we jack TT up and I crawl underneath. Looks like Vinny ran out of rivets. The Cable bracket was held in place by two machine screws (one was loose and the other was gone) So a drill and a rivet, all is good.

868 @ 6400, same boost level. Still a tad Fat, but we are slowly leaning on it. We are trying for 900 before we up the boost. We still have 10+ psi left, so hopefully........:)

Just one thought... look at the fast and see how many lbs of fuel an hour you are using... this can also give you a good estimate of the HP your making to maybe back up what the dyno is saying.... just a thought.

Paul408Notch
10-29-2008, 09:42 PM
I haven't been logging lbs of fuel. :( Closest thing I have is duty cycle, but that's not really going to help so much. I just added that in for future logs though, so if we do anymore, it'll be in there.

Cool... I could compare my duty cycle on sum of my logs with your a/f. I don't think there would be a big difference between a turbo/blower.

Cool... I could compare my duty cycle on sum of my logs with your a/f. I don't think there would be a big difference between a turbo/blower.

The only issue is that our duty cycles may be way different. I have this one set up for 1.25ms in the operational parameters, so this 50% and your 50% would more than likely indicate different flow.

I think. :tard:

At least the exhaust wont get in the way when you remove the trans. You might try Jim Widener maybe he doenst have alot going on. He has done a great job with my Glide.

Craig, I went ahead and got 5 gallons, of Hy-Gard. I came back down to the shop, but everyone was gone (sign read you were closing @ 5:00 and I got there @ 4:45).

Jim said it was just the band, as that is what works first gear in a glide.

I can take it down no problem. I only work 7 miles from Cincy speed so it isn't an issue.

Its going to be very cool watching this car go down the track. I was out of town for a week and couldn't believe what all happened with this car while I was gone. So you are shooting for E20 this weekend?

I know, I was just kidding. You know I don't want TT in "race mode" right now. I just want to see what it will do, with somebody driving it that knows how to drive it. And that ain't me. :tard:

Ya know we can work on that till TT is sold. Especially since we got the boost controller working correctly. (IE. start you at 4 lbs and go up :cool1:)

I swear, this car.......:mad::lol::lol:

Tranny is back in and all hooked up. We were looking over the front and noticed that the pass. wheel was rubbing the IC tubing when its turned hard left. Not to big a deal, dont turn all the way left...Im NOT like that. We are going to cut and weld the tubing so that it does NOT rub. I am NOT raising TT back up, it looks too sweet wheres it at. So thats where we stand right now.
If I can figure Kennys camera (THANKS KENNY!!) Ill get some pics and post em up.
Once all that is done, we will strap TT back down and do a few more pulls to verify that 1008 number. We might even turn it up a "few pounds" to see what Vinnys hard work really has in it.

Two words I put here.....

Byrd Man

Well, if it doesn't sell over the winter, we'll talk about that next spring. ;)

Holly, when TT makes it to the track. I think you should make a couple passes down the track yourself. Have the boost controller and tune backed off. Footbrake it, ease into the throttle and enjoy every second of it. :) I think you'll be glad you did.

Lifes about opportunities and experiences. I see this as a great memory and experience for you to cherish. One that we all will long remember.
