Ok I am new to the forum not brand new to mustangs My 1st was a 68 with a 200 straight 6 and a 3spd but I am looking to get a 5.0 and I was wanting to know how much it would take to switch the fron end of an 86 to an 87-93 or is it even possible without doing custom work please enlighten me on this

The biggest issue (aside from people giving you crap about it...) is wiring up the headlights since they're a little different.

If you're serious, my buddy will swap you the nose off his '87 and the hood for your '86 stuff, he's wanting to swap down to the older style nose. Let me know and i'll set something up.

If your going to an lx front end i have a blue 1 and a white 1 and have a wiring harness off the blue 1 not sure if the connections are the same on the 86 but could help you and give you some cash off for your old parts if they are in good shape

Well seriously, if you're up for it let me know because my buddy will help you do the swap too...he's been wanting an '85-86 nose for a while now and this way it won't cost either of you any cash.
