My brother is looking for a tranmission for his 1998 XLT 4 liter Ford Ranger (5 speed).

5r55e is the transmission number (whatever that means, he just gave me the info).

If anybody knows of one, please PM me or call my cell.

I can probably fix his for what a junkyard unit would cost. Those are expensive little buggers. I actually have one for an 02 if it will work. 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive?
