I don't mean to hijack a thread but about the carb....why do some of the double pumpers have those plastic accelerator pumps? Is that an old design or something? My buddy's S10 has a dp with the same arms...mine are metal with the bolt/nut/spring setup at the end. Is one better than the other or just a newer design?

Also do you have any idea on how old it is? I'm curious because after (i think) '92 they all came with the power valve blow out protection thing standard.

Yep, just a design change. They have since gone back to the metal units I believe.
