I know the pump has to be below the sump in the tank.

Here is what I want to do. I would like to run the pump along the frame almost right under the door area. Now the -10 line will have to come over the axle and then down to the pump. The line will stretch roughly 5ft from the tank to the pump. Anyone see anything wrong with this?

Need advice

I know they usually say keep the pump as close to the tank as possible. Not sure if that would be too far or not.

Yep..keep the pump as close to the fuel cell as possible. It doesn't pull fuel near as well as it pushes. Here is a pic of how I mounted mine.
