car running like crap

Ok this is whats happening,when I first hit the throttle it boggs then revs, at 2000-3000 rpm this thing surges,misses,and sometimes pops through the intake.I put my fuel pressure tester on it and the fuel pressure is 38psi w/vaccum line off and 30 with it on. I held rpm at 3000 and the psi dropped to 24psi, then at an idle it goes back up to 30psi.
I did the same thing with v-line off and psi dropped to 35psi at 3000 rpm.
I then unplugged maf sensor and it seemed to rev alot better but would hardly idle. IT has 24lb inj. 75 mm pro m maf cal. for 24lb. timing is set at 18 degrees. any help or ideas would great. thanks

Fuel pressure should go up some when your revving, might try a fuel filter or look into the mass air flow,. i had a similar issue and got some maf cleaner from oreiley auto parts and it ran great after that, you can use brake clean but some types leave a residue.

lower that timing down to 12-14 at the highest
