As long as I used S197 wheels for the offset would this actually work? Regardless of if it's safe of not...just curious.

It would work, but your wheels would stick out like a mexican owned Dodge Neon.

Yes, but how much in inches is the offset of stock fox wheels compared to
S197 wheels?

Not enough to make up the difference of those honking things

I guess if you ordered custom backspacing for the wheels to make up for the 2 inch difference, that would work. But really, how much is a kit to do it right? Just looked it up. 50Resto catalog, page 90. 5-lug conversion kit. 399.95

it would work fine.. on my 71 mustang i was originally going to put my bullitts on it, they are sn95 offset, at time noone could tell me if they would work, anyhow they fit fine on that car with a 5.8" bolt on adaptor, so with the 1 inch variance to s197 offset in theory it should work, adaptor plates are 100-200 bucks tho

Sweet, thanks Jon. I'll look into this a little more. I may just be the guinea pig.

fox is 3.5-4 sn95 is 5-5.5 and s197 is 6-6.5 but i am cold meds so my numbers may be slightly off

Maybe the S197 rims would fit better since they're a little more sunk in?

Junk yard 5lug ranger axles, Drums, and 5 lug rotors would be cheaper than spacers That would be the safe way to go.

What 5 lug front rotors would fit behind s197 wheels? I still have the stock setup on my fox so keep that in mind. The setup from 50resto only allows certain wheels..
