Info;
- The car is the enthusiast model, meaning it has the LSD and HID's. Also has the cruise controls on the steering wheel.
- Megan racing resonated test pipes
- JWT Popcharger intake
- Stock '07 wheels w/ BRAND NEW tires. Front - 225/45ZR-18 Kumho Ecsta SPT / Rear - 245/45ZR-18 Kumho Ecsta SPT
- The car will also have BRAND NEW hubs and wheel bearings, on all 4 wheels. The car makes a wierd noise on the highway, so I'm doing the overly-anal maintenance. This is $1000 of repairs by itself. All parts are directly from Nissan.
- The car dynoed @ 246whp/238wtq. Best track time with the old, bald tires was 14.2 @ 99.87.
- The front bumper has some scratchs, but I currently have an '05 bumper at the body shop getting painted. It has the amber side markers, and no license plate holes (thanks Don!)
- Mobil 1 oil and filter used at last oil change
- Still has a powertrain warranty - Expires @ 60k miles or January 2009. This warrantly follows the car, and doesn't even need to be transfered.

The car has been absolutely perfect, obviously. I've driven it alot, and taken it on a roadtrip, no complaints what-so-ever. I'm listing it for sale, because if I can sell it for what I need to, It will free me up to purchase a C6Z.

Good luck with the sale, Mike. Is the Aluminator also going to finance the C6Z06 as well?

Yes, sadly the Cobra left last Sunday. There is no way I could swing the $30k Cobra, and the $50k C6Z.

I've seen one as low as $46k so far. You'd know.. do the 06's have any known issues?

The the early C6 series, including the Z, had some issues with roof delamination on a small percentage of cars. The 05 model year had the highest rate of failure and Chevy came up with a fix immediately. Apparently, the bonding agent did not meet GM specs. The problem continued even into the 06 and 07 model years, but to a lesser extent. I would say if you pick an 06 up and it didn't have a problem by now you are good. In any event it is an easy fix. I don't know of any Zs in the area that have had an issue.

In approximately May 07, Chevy revised the damping rate for the rear shock because some magazive reviewers complained about the Z's rear end moving around on high speed turns on the bumpy Grattan racetrack in Michigan. Some people claim they can feel the difference on the street, but I can't speak from personal experience.

The one factor that may make a difference to you is that 07 was the first year that Chevy came out with the 5yr./100,000 mile powertrain warranty for all its cars. If you plan to change the cam or other warranty voiding work, that may not be an issue.

There is only one place you ever want to take your Z for service and that is Danny Popp at McCluskey Chevrolet on Reading Rd. In addition to being among the best Corvette specialits in the nation, he is a racer (he holds several NASA records) with superhuman abilities. I had a chance to second seat with him on an auto-X course at River Downs last July and he gives new meaning to the term "driving angry". It was a mind altering, and HUMBLING, experience.
