2000 Ranger problems - OD, ABS, and Check Engine light

I wasn't sure where to put this, so I figured I'd try here. My sister has a 3L V6 Auto 2000 Ford Ranger with 125k or so miles on it. She was having some problems this morning and wasn't able to drive it. When she first got in the car, the ABS light stayed on and as she put it in gear to drive, it lurched as it shifted gears and the OD light started flashing. She said it continued to lurch and shift erratically so she pulled into a parking lot to check it out, then the check engine light came on. She turned it off and started it back up, but everything persisted and she drove it back to her apartment and I picked her up to take her to work. AJ and I have a scanner, so we're going to check and see what codes it is showing, so that should help determine the problem. I did a little internet searching and found a few forum posts that indicate it may be speed sensor related. Any other thoughts?
