Over the weekend I put a set of MAC long tube headers on my 89 GT. I had to remove the steering rod and pass it through the primary tubes. It rubs the tube pretty hard. I haven't driven it like this yet so I'm not sure if it's going to be a problem. Has anyone come across this? What are my options?

Summit Part # FLA-FR1504AL should help. Thats the problem with long tube headers. They do make more horsepower but like everything else they come with a price.

If I leave it, will it ruin the header?
