my fox fenders,

i know i took my 99 to a shop near tri county and they had a little thing to roll the fenders

but, i could take my dremel with my little discs and do some serious damage in no time

whats the pros and cons of each

i know rolling, you can still crack the paint, as that happened on my 99

i know the dremmel probably won't crack the paint, but it will be bare on the ends and need to be touched up

I'd just properly roll the fenders. I rolled the fenders on a few cars and never cracked the paint. You just have to use a heat gun and get the metal/paint pretty hot before you start, and slowly work it and apply heat the entire time. It took me about 20 minutes per wheel arch once I really got going. Probably 2 hours total for a car.

I agree. BUT I have also cut the lip off before too. I didn't use a dremell though lol. I then applied chassis saver to the metal and it never rusted. I also went super ghetto and cut that seem into tabs and hammered them up. Then also chassis saver. Also no rust.

I would roll the fenders. I used the old baseball bat and a heat gun trick on my 2001 and also on mine and a friend's WRXs, with no problem with paint cracking (and Subaru paint is about the thinnest, weakest paint out there).

The dremel would just look ghetto, IMO.

For certain - roll it! I have rolled a few with some masking tape and a BMFH and never cracked the paint. Some folks have used a baseball bat levered against the tire. But I would recommend the tool at Cincy...clean and right way to do it.

Cutting it leaves sharp edges and a need for touch-up to keep the rust bunnies away.

can always use the sandbag/bean bag on outside to help out too if you roll :bigthumb

If Craig has the tool, then let him do it. If he cracks the paint, he will be the one repainting it, not you. He is a professional and will do it right.
