OK. I have an idea. Mad Matt Johnson has this 88 GT that he will be sending to scrap. I think we should try and help him fill it. Metal only please. I have scrapped my pile and got 107 for it. Let's see how much Matt gets for his. I have some small pieces that would not get me anything for scrap. Old coil springs, old control arms, etc. I know we all have some little parts that are taking up space. Matt's car has a sunroof so we can fill it to the brim with scrap metal.

Lets keep in mind that at least one of the doors was robbed off it today and we will still have to load it on a trailer... I wonder how much weight the forklift can handle???

any little scraps of metal you have laying around can help. ;)
sometimes its not worth cashing in little bits here and there.
Its more fun to take a couple tons down and get a big pay off! :D
I'll have both doors off in a couple days. No worries though. lets fill this turd!!!

I saw 2 sheets of metal in there today. Little tack welds make great walls. Lets fill it and break the fork lift. LOL

Scrap was at $200 a ton a couple weeks ago in my area. Seems like alot of people are doing it now, so it is harder to find big free piles of it.

I've heard that Walton Recycling, which just opened Monday, will pay $240/ton for steel

I have 4 brake rotors sitting in the garage for him. Where's a good place to drop them off?

I know you said metal only but i know we could squeeze my ex in there somewhere and hide her under a few engine blocks and that'll add a good 200lbs..

The car is in the fenced in lot at MD. I may drop off my stuff tomorrow if anyone is going to be there.

We're working on it. That's a haul for some of us.
If I don't meet up with this guy at KK on Thursday, I'll probably bring them down after work on Sunday. I'll already be 1/3 way there.

If I dropped by after work on Sunday, where should I stash these? I'm sure the car is inside the fence, right?

I'll probably be here working on my Orange car, but if noone is here, you should be able to slide them under the gate of the fenced in area. If not, just leave them by the gate.
thanks bro!

It ended up weighing 3320 lbs. which got me $300 even.
