Casey's in Springfield is the BOMB LOL, It's an older place, But has killer steaks.. My wife says the inside decor makes her expect to see Tony Soprano, or John Gotti come walking in LOL

I love El Coyote in Anderson. Never had a bad steak there! It's a more casual atmosphere, but the steaks are the best. I believe they have locations in Florence and West Chester as well. I'm hoping to go to Boi Na Braza downtown, I've heard it is very good.

I've heard Morton's is really good.

You'll have to drive a bit to get my favorite steakhouse, to Louisville, Columbus or Indianapolis. We're talking Ruth's Chris. Steak Heaven. Worth the price, and the drive. I can't believe there isn't a Ruth's Chris in Cincinnati.

Morton's downtown is worth every penny. The best 2 steaks I've ever eaten haven been from the 2 times I've gone to morton's.

I agree, there is an El Coyote in NKY as well. I've only eaten there twice but it's de-lic.

I've never heard of half these places...i guess i'm a chain steak house kind of guy. For my money it doesn't get any better than the Outlaw ribeye from Longhorn...i can't imagine a steak being any better than that.

Really? That's a shame. Thankfully I live just a few miles from the one in Anderson. I love Margarita Mondays!!

Those are good, but trust me, check out one of these other places and you will be surprised at how much better steaks can be. It will be a little more pricey, but worth. I love the NY Strip from El Coyote, runs $24-$29 depending on size, but worth every penny.

Logan's steakhouse make a pretty good ribeye. I usually douse my steaks in A1 but with their's I didn't have to. Just the right amount of flavor

My parents were telling me that Longhord has raised their prices quite a bit. They use to eat there a lot but with the higher prices it doesn't seem like such a deal.

Although it won't compete with Ruth's Chris or Morton's, as far as a "popular priced" steak, I like Lonestar.

Ruth's Chris, Pine Club, Mortons

Since you said price is not a consideration: Morton's downtown, Carlo and Johnny in Montgomery (owned by Jeff Ruby) and, if you want a fantastic view, the Celestial in Mt. Adams

There are also some other great steak houses in Ohio including Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse. I haven't eaten there but while my in-laws were taking a driving tour of the state they found it good enough to eat there 3 times in a week. Just be prepared to spend some serious money. My fater-in-law had their Wagyu Kobe beef and said it was worth the $60-70 he paid for it.

And I just noticed that they sometimes serve Bermundi which is a fish from Australia that is wonderful. Looks like I need to plan a dinner roadtrip to Cbus.

The Precinct in Cincy is pretty decent, little pricey. Also, Texas Roadhouse has an excellent Ribeye!

Any one of Jeff Ruby's restraunts will have killer steak. I've yet to get a bad one.

Dee Felice makes a HELL of a blackened cajun NY Strip. If you're into that sort of thing.

Venture to Indy to St. Elmo's or Ruth Chris. It's worth the drive! :D

I have been to a lot of steakhouses and the only place I thought iI would throw up after eating the steak is Smokey Bones. That place must cook shit instead of beef.

If price is no problem then try Eddie Merlot's. http://www.eddiemerlots.com/ This place is heaven. The nicest restaurant along with the best steak I've ever experienced. Kind of pricey but well worth it. I cant wait to get back there.

Bourbon marinated prime rib sounds good. So just how expensive is when you say kind of pricey?

If you stick to non alcoholic beverages then you can expect to pay around 50 a person. Our tab for 8 was around a 1k. That included lots of wine and beer. Just stick to water or pop and you will be ok.

The best steak I had ever had. A little pricey but well worth it...........The steaks are brought out raw and explained to you and then they are brought to your table and cut right in front of you..........You are paying for the ambience but well worth it for a special occasion.......You will be treated like royalty..........We had appetizers, entree and dessert........no alcoholics drinks and our tab was 130.00 and would go back in a heartbeat. By the way we had the chateaubriand for two and it was 79.00.........FYI just had to pop in and give my two cents worth.......I am KenB's mom

Been to all those others mentioned but none of them can touch Eddie Merlots

$130 isn't too awful. I have spent almost that much at the Precinct, South Beach Grill, and the Pine Club.

Morton's steak are just unreal. My family likes to go there and i don't eat lunch because everything thing there is double portions. The new york strip and porter house are what i get. They have a special now in sundays where there have a 12oz hamburger with fries for 20 bucks......damn good deal for what you get. If you want a steak...depending on what you get, expect about 60-100 for it....so worth it though!!

Flemings (located at "The Greene" in Beavercreek Ohio) has an unbelievablely awesome steak (which I tried last night), this is my first high end steak and I was awestruck by what I had been missing all these years of eating lesser steaks.........................the minute I took that first bite I knew the $110 we were going to lay out was money well spent!!, and I will definitely try out the other local high end steakhouses mentioned in this thread.

Peace :cool2:
