I traded my 2003 Nissan Sentra Spec V in on this today. Stayed in the Nissan family, just moved up a couple notches. It's getting new wheels (stock 07's) tommorow, that should clean the appearance up alot.

This is off topic, but how do you like the Aluminator so far? Can you feel the weight difference in the handling compared to the stock iron block? NICE cars by the way.

My beater is faster than that stupid Civic you had 5 years ago

I will say this as of right now, I LOVE this car. Decent gas mileage, tons of peppy torque, and a VERY solid/smooth ride. It's basically the anti-Cobra  The next cruise-in I make it to, I'll let anyone take it for a spin, see what they think.

Meh, it's hard to tell. You can definetely tell the front end lifts up MUCH more during WOT. I think that, coupled with the drag radials, explains why my car hooks up GREAT. My car has pulled cars a full wieght Cobra wouldn't have, thats for sure.

I drove a 350Z vert last fall and liked the way it drove a lot. The only thing I didn't like was the seats. They were just too narrow for me and would probably would have proven very uncomfortable on longer trips.

A lightweight, Whippled Cobra is a nasty machine. I think I saw your car a few weeks ago at Quaker Steak during the Sunday cruise-in; it looks, and sounds, damn nice. It's a keeper.

It was Comp Orange, but I went to the darkside and now have an 07 ZO6. It looks odd sitting in the garage with two Fords, but keeping the Terminator and the Z06 would have meant trouble on the domestic front.

07 Z06? You have my heart! When they start getting into the high $40k's, I plan on picking one up. Very, very cool cars.

What color is it?

I think a photoshoot is in order :-) I got this license plate to try to get C6Z's to run!

It is Machine Silver with chrome wheels and bone stock. I've seen 06 Zs getting into the low $50Ks so you won't have to wait long. Most stock C6 Zs put down approximately 450 rwhp and 440 rwtq. Mine weighs 3122 lbs. You have got to be packing over 600 rwhp and torque and at 3450 lbs., I don't stand a chance in a straight line until above 120 (maybe?) when the aero advantages of the Z become a bigger factor. I'll catch up in the curves. I have ridden in a cammed, full exhaust, CAI and tuned 08 Z06 and it made my car feel slow.

I didn't buy the Z for its gas mileage, but it is nice to have a fast car that gets 28mpg on a trip.

I'll stop by next time I see your car at the cruise-ins.

I know a couple people asked for more to summarize my driving experience with the Z. Well, to be honest, this is my favorite car I've owned, second only to my 2000 C5. I've put over 200 miles on it the first two days of ownership. This is the car that makes you want to go on a long trip, turn around and drive right back home. The gas mileage is better than expected, upwards of 28mpg all highway, 23-25 mixed driving. SO torquey, SO smooth, and it really just asks to be beaten on. I drove from Eastgate to Bethel last night, and was able to enjoy lots of backroads on the way there, this car gives you so much confidence in the corners. It's not fast by any means, but plenty quick enough to stay entertained. It has plenty of the toys (track timer/shift light/miles to empty monitor/HID's/etc, and it really makes you feel like you're driving a luxury sports car. As bad as it is to say, I've virtually lost interest in driving the Cobra.

Not so bad, Mike. The Terminator is a great car in a straight line, and a competent car in the corners, but its weaknesses as an all round car are more evident, when compared to a car that is lighter, has a lower center of gravity and better weight distribution front to back. As the racers say, weight is the enemy of high performance.

Yeah, and you just so happened to buy the car that is the combo of my Cobra and my 350z. A fast, great handeling, nice interior, all around car that you could race at the drag strip Friday, the roadcourse Saturday, and drive on a 200 mile roadtrip Sunday.

Me = Jealous. :coo1:

Got it to 555whp on 17psi, falling off to 15psi by redline. I'm guessing the LT's flow a little better. I'll get it re-dynoed sometime soon, to see if the extra miles helped out.

Ummm.. well I say no, but you know how that goes :cool2:

The first thing I'd like to do, would be get the holes in the front bumper filled, resprayed. After that, install a stock, or aftermarket strut tower brace. Past that, I'd like to limit it to this exhaust.

This is the one and only exhaust I will get on it. I think it sounds absolutely amazing.

That's not bad power for stock 6 cylinder. Love the sound clip too!! What's the Z's weight?

It seem that when you have a horse power and torque rating close to the same it make for a sweet and smooth power band :) I bet that car is a blast to beat on.

Nice, I drove a customers car about a year ago. It had an intake, a dry kit, and some suspension mods on it and boy was I impressed. I sssssmoked my ex-gf's 01 GT through the curves in it lol. Partly due to driving skills too lol. I drifted, and she lifted lol. They rev high as hell, and handle like a mofo! The only thing that took some getting used to to me was the clutch. Boy is it touchy lol...
