Pensoil use to make their own version of GM syncromesh..think it was called pensomesh. I use to see it at autozone/advanced. Worked fine for me in my old 3550 and was a good bit cheaper per qt. than the GM stuff.

The autozone in west chester, I know doesn't carry it. I was just there and asked for any kind of synchromesh and they didn't have any.

Royal Purple makes "syncromax". We put it in every Tremec we deal with at work.
Its good stuff.
You can pick it up at your local speed shop. ;)

Two kinds of GM synchromesh, the cheaper nonfriction modifed is same as Penzsoil Syncromesh.
Royal Purple's Synchromax is a half and half blend of the better GM Synchromesh and RP synthetic oil.
All three are a little thin, but if you want something thinner, look into Honda NEW reformulated MTF, it is like water. I've yet to try it, seems TOO thin for the Honda trannys I work on.
OEM Honda 5 speed get 10w30 or 10w40, all the LSD (Posi) installs I suggest the Pennzsoil Synchromesh from Autozone, Smyth also carries it.
