Figured since she's home to make a project thread for her. The plans for this girl is a 302, 3 speed auto, and a 330 posi rear end. Now onto the pics!
This is how she looked when we brought her home, around October of 2006:

This is what she looked like with about a year and a half of body work on her. Took long enough, haha.

You know what they say, once you go black...

Then she was striped. Gold!

Finally! This has been a long time coming. She's home!

I'll be updating this as we go. Since these pics, the pedal support, heater core, grill, and headlights have been installed. Oh yeah, and how can I forget about the motor. Hopefully, with all the hours we'll be putting in it, I'm hoping to be terrorizing the streets the end of July/start of August.
Tell me what you guys think

I wanna see when it's done!
I had a Black 75 HB, C4, etc.
I did swap in a 71 motor and tranny, the different bell housing and starter location didn't matter (nor did I know!) at the time, but when I tried to put headers on it WAS NOT FUN!
I REALLY hated working on that car, but it taught me alot, I was only 18-19 at the time.

Yeah, I still have to buy headers and a carb for the motor. After we got the motor in, we seen the clearances on both sides and their isn't a lot of room. Oh well

Yes you do. My father wanted 5-lugs on it, no matter what. He knows best, so I didn't argue. He got the 5-lugs, I got Silverstar headlights. Haha

Nice project. Is it a father/son thing or are you just building it for him?

Father/Son type of deal. He's the father, I'm the son. Also, he's been messing with Mustang's since he was young. That, and he's been a mechanic for a good portion of his life, and a good portion of those years have been at Ford dealerships. He knows his stuff to say the least. Describe a problem and he'll be able to to diagnose it in an instant, that's how good he is.

Ok, I personally always see a pinto when I see one of these. With that said, I think it's good that you are fixing it up. I know there is a big following for these cars and the more American Ironwe can keep on the streets and out of the scrap yard the better.

Welp, time to bring this thread back to the top for some important news.
We're getting back to working on the car.
My shopping list looks like:
Holley Model 4150 HP carburetor, 650 CFM, 4 barrel, mechanical secondaries
Holley mechanical fuel pump, 110 GPH, etc...
Hooker Super Comp Headers
For a grand total of: 1014.89 from Summit Racing. Looks like I got my girl back, and she ain't gonna be cheap

I don't know the specifics, but what I do know is it's a rebuilt 302 with gt40 heads, then the carb and headers that I shall order in the next few weeks. I have no idea what cam, pistons, or intake it has. I really want this car to be running and driving for the fall cruise-in. I don't want the caution tape dropped on my entrance again because I'm driving the Deathscort, haha

Have you seen my wheels on my car when I was done with them? It's easy to make slots look good... as long as they are aluminum and not magnesium, lol

We have one restored, and it looks good. It just took a crapload of wet sanding and a little polishing

Damn, that sucks big time! But how in the hell did he get a 460 in it? My car with the 302 and soon to be headers is a tight fit!

Who would this be? someone I know as well?
Also, John Fay (blacksunshine) used to have a Mustang II hatchback with a 396 chevy bigblock and a 4 speed if I am not mistaken, he told me the shifter was between the front seats where the Ebrake is!

A little work done with it. Brake lines are run, now to run fuel lines. Got a little bored with that, so my dad whipped out some hardware that surprised me big time.

B&M Ratchet Shifter! It's sitting in there a little crooked because it has a bracket that needs trimmed/modified, and the hole in the transmission tunnel needs modified a little. But I'm stoked to have it! I'll have to get a new shifter handle for it though, and one just popped into my head. 8 Ball anyone?

I tried talking him into a 4 speed, but he wasn't wanting to hear it. Oh well, my next Mustang will be a tri-pedal car
