This was the best! I have never been able to get to meet this many Pro drivers before! We had a GREAT time! (Notice...I was representin the Stangbangerz Nation!)

Man, you got lucky, it's hard to get close to John and Ashley. I go to the US Nationals every year and it's pure luck if you can catch them.

i was there also was a good time i will try to get some pics up also,, my boys got to meet alot of the guys also . we had invite passes to with don schumaacher racing was a fun time for the kids to be next to the drivers.

My daughters and I spent all Saturday hanging with Doug Herbert in the snap-on pit, great to see him win the event. All the people and drivers were awesome and super friendly.

Doug Herbert is a great guy. I got to hang out in his pit back when he drove the Snap On Tools Dragster in IHRA at Norwalk. He gave us tons of stuff, and signed anything we wanted. I guess thats one of the perks for buying 50k in tools. :eek:

Most of the drivers we met were VERY personable, and accommodating. I used to have a perception of Melanie Troxel as being a bit of a witch, but she was extremely nice, and friendly!
Now...Jerry Tolliver on the other hand...nevermind. :evilgrin:

With the exception of Doug Herbert (lol...probably why they call him DougZilla..."other drivers running and screaming GAWDZIRA...GAWDZIRA!", as Doug walks down through the pits!!) the drivers are way smaller, and skinnier than I imagined...lol...Hot Rod isn't a skinny dude, but he is WAY short. I felt like the Jolly Green Giant standing next to him.

I agree, at the US Nats it's hard to catch any Force during the race but at Norwalk it was a whole lot easier for us last year to get Ashley's autograph and picture taken with our son. The Us Nats has a lot going on but I've still have met a lot of drivers up there.

Cool pics! Thanks for wearing the SBZ shirts! I run into people all the time that say they saw somebody with a SBZ shirt on, or they see the "in memory" stickers on somebody's car. :cool2:

I love Norwalk, we went up there one year for Fun Ford Weekend.
