They're finally here!
These are for my 2001 GSXR1000. They should STOP much better than the OEM brakes. In addition to the rotors and pads, I've also changed the brake lines and added a radial master cylinder. The only thing left of the stock brakes is the calipers.

Rick and MFIELD, to my door, the rotors and pads cost $745. The rotors are ductile iron, not stainless steel like the OEM brakes. Ductile iron has a higher coefficient of friction, but will rust in the rain. The pads are endurance racing pads. The rotors have been cryogenically treated and are full floaters (but with a wave washer to keep them quiet). The weight is less than stock. Look at the way the rotor is mounted to the carrier. The carrier buttons do not have any load on them. Their only function is to keep the rotor and carrier aligned.
These are trick rotors and pads, and are priced accordingly.
There are cheaper rotors available, but they do not perform like these. Also, Braketech sells the same setup with stainless steel rotors. Both of you could save about $200 off of this price by using EBC Pro-Lite rotors. There is no better braking value than EBC rotors. I paid a lot of extra money for slighter better rotors. EBC Pro-Lite rotors are more than sufficient for street use and the occasional track day.
MFIELD, these are the same rotors that you would use for the TLR.

i've got the iron's on my 636. i just got all this junk yesterday for my rex. the titaniyum exhaust weighs 7.5lbs complete! the braketech's are the stainless version since it see's mostly street duty and gets wet alot. man, did the carrozzeria's change the handling characteristics. almost feels like a supersport bike now... almost.

I'm going to install the rotors very soon. I'll weigh the stockers and compare to the Braketech's.

be prepared to learn your bike all over again. those iron rotors and ferrado's are unreal. they'll put you over the bars in a hurry! i don't think mine were a whole lot lighter than the stock 636's, but the material makes all the friction difference in the world.
and no, i am not loaded. i am a bargain hunter.:D i bought all that stuff gently used. note the ginormous chicken strips -lol-.

That's a lot of money for ONE wheel! :mad:
However, they are awesome! :D
I took them for a short ride this evening (and left my brother to build a subwoofer enclosure). They have a great initial bite, followed by slightly increasing performance with the same lever pressure. That is reassuring while doing hard braking. The opposite (fade) can rattle the mind of most riders, me included. These are heavy bikes with lots of HP, goods brakes are worth extra money.
