Been waiting on a package. Well DHL delivered it today. But they were kind enough to deliver it to my neighbors.

Had a little note from DHL informing me they left it at my neighbors house.

Now this is absolutely ridiculous. I could understand if I told them to. But frankly it pisses me off the neighbors have only lived there for 2 weeks and I have never spoken to them in my life.
I really don't like my stuff being delivered to people I don't know.

They weren't home when I got home yesterday hopefully they will be there tomorrow.

I sent a rifle to ruger for repair and the fed ex guy dropped it to my neighbor. I get home Thank God my neighbor was scared to touch the box. I had to go to her house and pick it up.
Good luck..

I'm with you...why in the hell would they take it upon themselves to leave it at a neighbors house? Probably so they wouldn't have to come back again the next day (driver laziness).

Maybe I'm biased, but DHL has the worst home delivery service there is! We ordered something from the NFL Pro Shop for my son for Christmas, and DHL was the only option for shipping. A week later we tracked it, and DHL said it was delivered, but we didn't have it. Long story short, the driver delivered it to a Liberty Township address, instead of Fairfield Township, and after calling their customer service dept., the rep said we would have to wait until the driver got back from vacation so he could go pick it up from the home he delivered it to, and deliver it to us!!! Needless to say, DHL didn't want to, but had to pay us on a claim. We found the item somewhere else, had it shipped UPS, and it was here in 2 days.

I'm used DHL exactly one time and one time only. here's the long and short of it. I traded my h pipe to someone for theirs over on modular depot. DHL picked mine up, and it was supposed to be there by that friday, as the guy had a dyno tune to make it to on saturday or so. DHL loses package in shipping center. it's kind of a big deal b/c it makes me look bad and delays the guy getting his stuff. they find it, call me back and tell me they found it. i spoke to a CSR, he said, we'll get it there asap. they then deliver it back to me...I call, speak to whom I spoke with the day prior. they say "we'll pick it up and deliver it to the person next day air, and charge you nothing for it" cool, i think. About a month later I get a letter from DHL stating that I need to pay for shipping. I call them, speak to another CSR (the original one was somehow not able to be located), they tell me to pay up. I said this is effed up how you're treating me, and tell them I'm not paying. They turn me into collections. Now, I'm up shit creek. If I don't pay for it, it'll go against my credit. If I do I let them win.I ended up only paying $30, which wasn't a big deal, but still it's the principle of the matter. I posted this on several huge mustang boards, hopefully people will listen to me when I say do not use DHL.

another reason to not use dhl. dhl is terminating the contract to transport via air with abx air and astar. they are trying to finalize a deal that would allow ups to ship all packages via air. so a dhl driver will pick it up and drop it at the local ups hub for transport. when it gets to the other end a dhl driver will drop it off. so it will be intersting to see what the two charge for the same deal.

The USPS (US Postal Service) also uses UPS air to transport mail. It works the same way...USPS worker(s) take the mail to the UPS air hub(s) and it's loaded/unloaded onto the planes by UPS workers, then it's picked up from the destination air hub by USPS workers and finally delivered.

I work at the Bulk mail center in Sharonville for the USPS, and we also sleep with the enemy..:D. I'm a dock clerk, and we recieve over 20,000 parcels a day from Fed Ex for shipment out of the region. I can remember when you guys were on strike several years ago (UPS). Nothing like 12+hrs a day/ seven days a week. I'm needing some go fast parts, any plans for a strike soon..jfwy..lol.

Lol...sorry man, maybe in 2013...the contract passed way early, and it starts August 1st 2008, and is a 5 year deal. You know it's mind boggling when I look at the amount of shit that gets shipped through just our "small" Sharonville hub, not to mention how much stuff you guys move, as well as FedEx, and DHL...lol, it's astonishing that most all of that shit makes it to it's destination!

big difference is that the usps uses several different carriers to move air frieght. depending on which city you live in will determine who actually handles your stuff after it is picked up. we have contracts to haul for usps also. next year every piece of mail that is shipped via air with dhl will be handled by ups.
i also remeber the ups strike very well. i can say that i made alot of money at that time.
